A vibrant colour scheme of coral and cornflower blue, bunting, eclectic flowers and other DIY touches… these were all a part of Simon and Annabel’s love-filled celebration this winter. So I had a bit of fun when creating their wedding cake. It was a little touch and go for while when putting it together – all the rain in the lead-up meant the air was so humid, the sugar flower just refused to set. Fortunately, a little royal icing gluing it to the top of the cake was all I needed to save the day! Underneath the mini sugar daisies and fondant frills were two tiers of orange-almond and chocolate mud cake.
