James and Erin’s wedding

The bride, groom and family of the bride

Yesterday was the wedding of my gorgeous brother in-law and sister in-law. The weather was stunning, but not as stunning as the bride. She was truly radiant and I think the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. I had the joy of arranging the bridal party and church flowers and making and decorating a cake for the reception. I was so happy with the way Erin’s old-fashioned teardrop bouquet turned out, and so glad that it was extra special to her, reminding her of her mother and grandmother’s bouquets. It had white roses, freesias, Singapore orchids, blushing bride and dusty miller foliage.
The bridesmaids’ posies had white, pale pink and slightly lilac-pink roses, freesias, blushing bride and dusty miller. The cake was a white chocolate mud cake with white chocolate ganache, covered in fresh flowers.
To keep the two church arrangements pale in colour (Erin wasn’t too keen on really green foliage) I used a lot of gum, some willow and flax for blue and brown tones, then threw in some white lilies, Singapore orchids, and pink king proteas.
Here are some snaps…
