Dahlia and hydrangea bouquet

Last weekend I worked on this beautiful, bright and vibrant wedding. The bride Fiona was pretty happy for me to come up with a scheme I thought worked with her grey-blue bridesmaids’ dresses, so I thought… colour! I toned the colour down a little for Fiona’s (large!) bouquet.

The reception was at Newport Mirage, where the night ended in the couple smashing their cake instead of cutting it. The smash cake was a total surprise to guests and I think it was a brilliant idea! The stationery and customade timber seating plan, and “Messages” board were by Paper Parcels.

I received this text from Fiona on Monday: ” Hi Bethan! The flowers were stunning and the reception looked amazing… Thanks so much for everything, it was perfect.” Happy to have another satisfied customer!  F&C1

Even though this isn't my work, I had to include it... it's a smash cake! It gave the guests a big shock when the couple hit it with a hammer!
