It was great fun recently making a wedding cake for the big day of a sweet couple, Chanele and Casey, who had a chic, stylish theme. After bouncing around a few ideas incorporating the black-and-white/New York-inspired scheme, Chanele was happy with my sketch for a small two-tiered white buttercream wedding cake with black and white sugar anemones and black grosgrain ribbon decorating it. She asked for the top tier to be caramel mud and the bottom white chocolate mud, to incorporate her and Casey’s favourite flavours. I also love that she’s big buttercream fan – that creamy icing looks so yummy, it’s just so inviting. The guest list was an intimate crowd of 40 close friends and family, and the venue was the Quay Grand Suites at Circular Quay in Sydney.
Anna Zu Photography clearly did a beautiful job capturing the day. Check out more photos on Anna’s site here.
